Subgenus Hymedesmia (Hymedesmia) Bowerbank, 1864

Type species. H. (H.) zetlandica Bowerbank, 1864 .

Diagnosis. Hymedesmia with arcuate isochelae, to which sigmas and/or microstrongyles may be added.

Remarks. Van Soest’s (2002) definition is adapted here, accounting for the possible occurrence of microstrongyles too.
