Material studied: Holotype: Male, 11.iii.1948, Ponape Island, north slope, Kupwuriso Mt. (Kupuriso), 1000–1500 ft, sweeping vegetation, leg. H.S. Dybas (USNMENT 2083267).
Conservation status: Embedded in Hoyer’s medium, body with hypopygium and head isolated, both badly damaged.
Comments. The species is characterized by short flagellomeres (4 th flagellomere with a l/w index of 1.8), a small patch of bristles on the fore tibia, distinctly bordered, strongly toothed claws and an elongate gonostylus with 2 subapical spines and a much longer whiplash hair. The holotype is not suitable to identify the species. An identification of the species is possible just based on figures 13 a–i in Steffan (1969).
Distribution. Caroline Islands (Pohnpei).
