This species is widely distributed throughout India and may extend to several neighboring states, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Pakistan. In a recent study, Wagan & Khatri (2021) recorded this species for the first time in Patriata (New Murree, at 3,500 m) It is expected that this species might occur in the northern regions of Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan.
