Record associated with mangroves: Niewport, Netherland Antilles, Curaçao, among epiphytal algae from red mangrove Rhizophora mangle roots and also from Lee Stocking Island, near Norman's Pond Cay, Bahamas (Pešić et al. 2008).

Records from other habitats: Cook (1958) described this species from Bimini, Bahamas.

Distribution: Caribbean Sea.
