Records associated with mangroves: Pinnacle Rock, Bartolomé Island, Galápagos, mangrove leaf litter; Divine’s Bay south of Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, Galápagos, intertidal algae from rocks and mangrove roots; Wreck Bay, San Cristóbal Island, Galápagos, decaying mangrove leaf litter; Darwin Bay, Genovesa Island, Galápagos, moist leaves and soil under Rhizophora mangle and Cryptocarpus pyriformis mangroves (Pfingstl & Schatz 2017).

Remarks: This species shows a broad ecological spectrum and can inhabit different microhabitats in the littoral area, from rocky shore and mangrove litter to dryer habitats above the intertidal zone (Pfingstl & Schatz 2017).
