Records associated with mangroves: Okukubi River, Kin Town, Okinawa Island, Japan, littoral algae from mangrove forest ( Bruguiera gymnorrhiza and Rhizophora stylosa) floor (Karasawa & Hijii 2004).

Records from other habitats: Near Base of the Royal Netherlands Navy, Biak Island, New Guinea, Cladophora socialis and red algae on stones in the intertidal zone (Hammen 1960)

Distribution: Japan, Netherlands New Guinea.
