Distribution: Scattered records from Europe, also known from Georgia and possibly Azerbaijan. First records for Turkey.

Note: For the time being, it is advisable to consider Lipsothrix iranica Alexander, 1975, of Iran, a distinct species (cf. Starý 2007).
