Discussion. This species can be recognized by the distinctive tubercle on the male hind femur and the characteristically shaped metaxiphus, which is broad and parallel-sided with an angular apex, and was originally described from a single male specimen taken on the island of Lombok, lying immediately east of Bali (Lansbury 1968). Our new records from Flores and Sumba extend the distribution further to the east, and indicate that the species will also eventually be found to occur on the intervening island of Sumbawa.
