Genus Nanodiodes Bousquet, 1996

Nanodiodes piceus (Nietner 1856)

New record for Hong Kong. This species is distributed from Japan to the Orient and has been expected to occur in Hong Kong. Keyed to genera using Guéorguiev (2014) and matches well Habu (1956b) description and genitalia illustrations of this species. Material: Ƌ Hong Kong, Lai Chi Wo. 24.i.15. Leg. So Ying Kin Ken (Hong Kong University Invertibrate survey). Biology: Imago found January, caught in water, or at least vegetation in water with a water net (So Ying Kin Ken pers comm.).
