Subgenus Desarmatocillenus Netolitzky, 1942
Bembidion (Desarmatocillenus) foochowense Lindroth, 1980
New record for Hong Kong. The aedeagus of this form is identical to that of B. foochowense, and shares with that species several other characters (Luca Toledano, pers. comm), but is paler in colouration. This is the first record of this very distinctive group of the genus in Hong Kong. Specimens were identified by Luca Toledano. Lindroth (1980) originally described this species from Fujian Province and has since been found in Taiwan (Toledano 2009) Material: 1 ex. W.T.L., 9.v.06; 1 ex. W.T., June 2011. Biology: Imago found May to June. Species of this genus are renowned for living in the inter-tidal zone, especially at the sandy mouths of rivers. Fully winged.
