Andrewes (1919a) noted a specimen of Selina setosa Walker, 1859, a junior synonym of S. westermanni, from Hong Kong in the British Museum. Also listed for Hong Kong by Jedlièka (1963), Kirschenhofer (1994 & 1996), Bousquet (2003g) and Park et.al. (2006)
