Subgenus Calleida
Calleida (Callidiola) lepida Redtenbacher, 1867
This species was described by Redtenbacher from specimens collected in Hong Kong by members of the Frigate Novara expedition. Also listed as occurring in Hong Kong by Gemminger & Harold (1868), Chaudoir (1872c), Andrewes (1924), Habu (1982b), Kirschenhofer (1986b), Hua (2002), Paik & Kim (2003) and Kabak (2003). Material: 1 ex. Hong Kong, Lam Tsuen Valley, She Shan, 14.iv.12; 1 ex. W.T., April 2011; 2 exx. Hong Kong, Tai Om Shan, 28.v.13; 1 ex. Hong Kong, Ng Tung 'Chai 11.vi.10, netted from tree. Biology: Imago found April to June. Arboreal, uncommon in mature woodland.
Calleida (Callidiola) splendidula (Fabricius, 1801)
Chaudoir (1872c) was the first to list this species for Hong Kong. Also listed as occurring in Hong Kong by Jedlièka (1963) and Park et.al. (2006). Material: 2 exx. W.T.L., 12.v.06; 1 ex. W.T.L., 18.v.06; Sight record W.T., 26.v.06; ♀ W.T.L., 24.ix.14. Biology: Imago found May and September. Can be attracted to light. Can be attracted to light, it is fully winged and capable of flight.
