Etymology: fernandoi, named after Luiz Fernando Netto dos Reys, collector of the type series.

Larva described. No.
Distribution. Brazil (Maranhão).
Diagnostic characters. ♂ —Cercus in lateral view: straight and with almost uniform width, the medial expansion visible in lateral view in the middle of the length of cercus. Cercus in mediodorsal view: base of cercus without spine, medial expansion with small spines at the apical end. Paraproct in lateral view: less than half the size of the cercus, stout and with a tuff of setae directed upwards.
