61. Trigonostemon fungii Merr.

TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Hongmao Shan, 5 August 1929, W. T. Tsang & H. Fung 636 (i.e. Lingnan University Herbarium 18170) (holotype: NY 00273340 image!; isotype: A 00048860 image!) .

The name Trigonostemon fungii Merr. was validly published with a gathering “ Tsang and Fung 18170 ” in NY designated as the type (Merrill, 1932). However, the collecting number on the lable of the holotype specimen is 636, while its herbarium number is Lingnan University Herbarium 18170. Therefore, the erroneous collecting number in the designation of type is to be corrected.
