Dinurothrips Hood

This Neotropical genus comprises two species, both recorded in Brazil. They share the following character states: antennae 8-segmented with simple sense cones on segments III and IV (Fig. 39); ocellar region of the head elevated (Fig. 55); fore wings with long and slender veinal setae; metanotum with campaniform sensilla anterior to a pair of setae; tergite X longitudinally divided; male with U-shaped pore plate on sternites III–VII (Figs 113, 114).
