Dinurothrips hookeri Hood

(Figs 14, 55, 70, 93, 103, 113, 123)

Adults of this species are larger than those of D. vezenyii, and they have been collected in Caribbean islands as well as the northern areas of Brazil. This species has been collected on a wide range of plants, including several crops. It has not been regarded as a serious pest (Mound & Marullo 1996), but damage to mint plants was recorded in the State of Acre (Fig. 131) (Lima et al. 2016). Male is similar to female, with exception of the U-shaped pore plate on abdominal sternites III–VII (Fig. 113).
