Distribution: eastern Pacific: Mexico— “Hipólito Bank [27°N], Baja California Sur, in the Pacific, and Cabo Lobos [ca. 30°N], Sonora, in the Gulf of California to Trujillo [8°S], Peru, and the Galápagos Islands ” (Anderson & Baldwin, 2000:379; Anderson & Heemstra, 2012:54).
