(Figures 9‒12)

Type data: This species was described based on four females from Peru. In HNHM I found one female collected in “Yurimagua” and another one from “Tebas”. Both specimens must belong to the type series and are here designated lectotype and paralectotype, respectively. Lectotype with the following data label: [light greenish square without text]\ Yurimaguas [handwritten] Brasilia [printed]\ [black-rimmed] 685. 60. [handwritten]\ fulviventris Typ. Mocs. [handwritten]. Paralectotype with the following data label: [purple square label without text]\ Tebas [handwritten] Brasilia [printed]\ [black-rimmed] 685. 60. [handwritten]. According to the accession book at HNHM the lectotype and paralectotype were purchased from insect dealer Otto Staudinger in 1884. The current condition and depository of the remaining type specimens, now paralectotypes, is unknown.

Type locality: Peru: Loreto department: Yurimaguas .

Centris rufohirta Friese, 1901: 299 (nom. nov. for C. fulviventris Mocsáry, 1896). Comment: This species was correctly interpreted by Moure et al. (2007).
