Centris (Paracentris) klugii Friese, 1899
(Figures 17‒20)
Centris klugii Friese, 1899a . 45.
Type data: Friese (1899a) described this species based on two females from Brazil (“ Para ” and “Brasilia”) housed at NMW. Moure et al. (2007) mentioned that the type series was housed at ZMB, but no primary types were found in either of those institutions. In the HNHM I found two females, one labeled “Brasilia” and “669 236”, and another one with similar labels, but also containing an original Friese identification label. This latter specimen is here designated lectotype. The female has the following data label: Brasilia [printed]\ [light greenish square] 74. [handwritten]\ [black-rimmed] 669. 235 [handwritten]\ Centris klugii n. sp. ♀ [handwritten] det. Friese, 1898 [printed].According to the accession book at HNHM these specimens were obtained as exchange materials and gifts by Mocsáry during his trip to Germany in 1883. The depository and the current condition of the paralectotype from Pará is unknown.
Type locality: Brazil .
Comment: This species was correctly interpreted by Moure et al. (2007)
