Host. Unknown.

Remarks. The specimens collected from Japan are smaller than the holotype. Body length of the type is 6.3 mm, whereas it ranges from 3.8 to 5.3 mm in Japanese specimens; FIII of the type is 6.9x as long as the scape, compared with 3.3 to 4.4x in Japanese specimens. Specimens collected in the Southern Ryukyus are distinctive due to a combination of the following two characters: pronotum without striae around the disc (Fig. 5) and a shiny and granulated mesepisternum (Fig. 7), whereas the type and specimens from Northern Japan show a striate pronotum (Fig. 6) and reticulated mesepisternum (Fig. 8). A female from Iriomote-jima was collected from Castanopsis cuspidata (Fagaceae) using a fogging method. This species occurs in Oriental Japan (the Southern Ryukyus) and Palaearctic Japan (Honshu and Kyushu).
