Type species. Iberina mazarredoi Simon, 1881, from Spain .
Diagnosis. I. mazarredoi is a member of the subfamily Hahniinae, with spinnerets arranged in a transverse row. Representatives of the genus Iberina can be distinguished from other genera of the subfamily by the combination of the following characteristics: the clypeus protrudes in profile, and is usually higher than the two ALE; presence of a strong, spur-like patellar apophysis; and a curved tibial apophysis that is serrated at its end and has a discoidal bulbus.
