Modicogryllus (Modicogryllus) nigrus comb. nov.

Mirigryllus nigrus He, 2020: 112

Holotype information. Type locality: China, Zhejiang Province, Lin’an, Qingliangfeng Mt. Deposited at Museum of Biology, East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai, China (not examined).

Remarks. As mentioned above, this species is almost the firstly recorded species of the subgenus Modicogryllus in China. He, et al. (2020) described this species under a new genus and he did not refer to any member of Modicogryllus . According to some illustrations, we found this species resembles to M. latefasciatus, Modicogryllus cyprius (Saussure, 1877) and Modicogryllus frontalis (Fieber, 1844) . But the transverse stripe above frons of M. nigrus is wide, trim and not as irregular as what of M. latefasciatus, or as thin as what of M. cyprius, and as centrally constricted as what of M. frontalis; and their genitalia are more or less in different shape.
