Diagnosis.— Males can be recognised by the long embolus and the bidentate retrolateral apophysis. Females are distinguished by the C­shaped spermathecae and the parallel middle sections of the spermathecae (Dondale & Redner 1978).

Distribution.— Southern British Columbia to Nova Scotia, southward to Oregon, South Dakota and Illinois (Dondale & Redner 1978).

Remark.— The present records confirm the occurrence of the species in Québec, which was suspected by Paquin & Dupérré (2003, figs 2019–2022).
