Ammothella appendiculata (Dohrn, 1881)

This species was encountered once only in our material; it tolerates moderate pollution (Arnaud 1987) as at the sampling site in Gencelli Cove. It is a rather rare faunal element in the Mediterranean, which is in line with our record.
