Type material. Holotype. China: Zhejiang: Zhuji: 3♂♂ 2♀♀, Majian Town, Dashan near Huangcaota, sifted, alt. 100m, 15.II.2014, Tie-Xiong Zhao leg. (SHNU).

BL: 2.8–3.0mm, FL: 1.3–1.5 mm. HW: 0.57–0.62 mm, PL: 0.49–0.50 mm, PW: 0.44–0.48 mm, EL: 0.55–0.64 mm, EW: 0.57–0.67 mm, SL: 0.42–0.49 mm.

Head 0.91–1.04 times as wide as elytra; pronotum 1.05–1.11 times as long as wide; elytra 0.90–0.97 times as long as wide.

Distribution. China (Zhejiang, Sichuan, Taiwan, Hainan, Hongkong), Japan.

Remarks. This is the new record to Zhejiang. The species belongs to Stenus rorellus group (Puthz, 2013b: 1307), and it can be easily distinguished from other two species ( S. rorellus cursorius L. Benick, 1921 and S. confertus Sharp, 1889) of the group distributed in Zhejiang by the narrower elytra, from S. rorellus cursorius also by the sparser punctation, from S. confertus also by the black antennal segment I, the more confluent punctation and the longer apicolateral teeth of tergite X.
