Distribution. Exotic boatman of Nearctic origin and one of the few alien aquatic insects in the world, was discovered it for the first time in northwestern Morocco (L’Mohdi et al. 2010). Since then, this invasive species has significantly increased its range (Mabrouki et al., unpublished data). Indeed, during the sampling period, T. v. verticalis was frequently collected along the eastern Mediterranean coast of Morocco (Fig. 6), mainly around Nador lagoon and Moulouya mouth.
