Velia (Plesiovelia) saulii Tamanini, 1947

Distribution. Europeo-Maghrebian species. Recorded from the extreme north of Morocco (L’Mohdi 2016). In the Oriental Region and the Moulouya River basin, Chavanon et al. (2004) found it in Zeghzel River and Ain Almou springs (Fig. 5). We could not study material of this species and recently, Berchi et al. (2018b) removed it from the list of Maghreb species; thus, its presence in the study area and Morocco is probably due to misidentification.
