Distribution. Atlantic-Mediterranean element. In Morocco, this species presents a fragmented distribution throughout the country (L’Mohdi 2016). In the area studied, it was cited from the mouth of the Moulouya River (Chavanon et al. 2004) in stagnant saline waters. Previously, it was collected in Nador lagoon and Oriental Rif (Fig. 8).
