Velia (Plesiovelia) currens (Fabricius, 1794)

Distribution. Holo-Mediterranean species. In eastern Morocco, it was recorded by Vidal (1937) at Debdou (Fig. 5). Since then, it has been found only in the Middle Atlas in two localities (Touabay et al. 2002). We did not study material of this species. However, its presence in Maghreb is unlikely because it is currently considered as a species limited to Italy and surrounding countries (Cianferoni & Santini 2012).
