Etymology. The specific epithet is in honor of the American filmmaker and animator Timothy Walter Burton. Tim Burton’s excellent films fired the first author’s imagination while he was a child. His films have a gothic and dark nature, reminiscent of the dark coloration in female of the new species.

Diagnosis. Resembles O. meinei sp. nov. in the overall shape of RTA, but can be distinguished by the slightly involute extension on the retrolateral side of tip of RTA (Fig. 289; vs. the extension is not involute in O. meinei sp. nov.). Female can be distinguished from O. meinei sp. nov. by its dark leg coloration, and the distance between atria that is shorter than the diameter of atria (Figs 262, 268; vs. posterior legs are light-colored, and the distance between atria is longer than the diameter of atria in O. meinei sp. nov.).

Description. Male. Habitus of holotype (KYU-SAL536) as shown in Fig. 263. Measurements of KYU-SAL537: carapace length 2.51; abdomen length 2.52; measurements of eyes: AME 0.44, ALE 0.30, PME 0.08, PLE 0.27; measurements of legs: I 5.66 (1.70, 1.09, 1.43, 0.89, 0.55), II 3.90 (1.28, 0.68, 0.79, 0.71, 0.44), III 3.72 (1.31, 0.61, 0.67, 0.71, 0.42), IV 4.32 (1.41, 0.62, 0.94, 0.89, 0.46); leg formula 1423. Carapace dark, with relatively dense khaki setae overhead and almost no setae at flanks and posterior part; lower edge of anterior lens with small orange setae; clypeus with one transversal pale setal band; dorsal abdomen with khaki setae sightly sparser than carapace, but relatively dense on edges; color of legs I–II darker than legs III–IV in most area, legs dorsally covered with khaki setae on patellae and distal femora, proximal half of tibiae and slightly on proximal metatarsi.

Palp (Figs 265–267): embolus with many small grooves at basal part along extending direction of embolus, with one denticle-like small apophysis near base; median part of RTA with one lobe, lobe on tip of RTA obvious and rough, with many denticles on outer edge; tip of RTA obviously pro-extended, slightly round, and blunt distally.

Female. Habitus as shown in Fig. 264. Measurements of paratype (KYU-SAL539): carapace length 2.55; abdomen length 2.51; measurements of eyes: AME 0.48, ALE 0.31, PME 0.09, PLE 0.24; measurements of legs: I 4.09 (1.31, 0.83, 0.87, 0.59, 0.49), II 3.65 (1.18, 0.66, 0.72, 0.57, 0.52), III 3.96 (1.24, 0.57, 0.81, 0.78, 0.56), IV 4.71 (1.49, 0.68, 1.03, 0.95, 0.56); leg formula 4132. Color like male but khaki setae very sparse on body and reduced on legs, legs III–IV darker than male, almost as dark as legs I–II. Sternum relatively rough centrally.

Epigynum and vulva (Figs 268–269): atria small and far from each other, far from genital furrow; copulatory ducts relatively narrow; spermathecae irregular shaped.

Natural history. Specimens were mainly found on tree trunks, but sometimes on ground or in suspended leaf litter.

Distribution. Malaysia (Sarawak).
