Periscepsia handlirschi (Brauer and Bergenstamm, 1891) (Fig. 3C)

Phorichaeta handlirschii Brauer and Bergenstamm, 1891:356 [also 1891:52].

Diagnosis: Head in male much higher than wide in lateral view; frons distinctly wider than one fronto-orbital plate (especially in male); postpedicel in male 7.5–10 times and in female 3.5–4.0 times as long as pedicel; arista thickened on basal 3/5–3/4; scutellum with basal setae and entirely bare dorsally except for two erect setae.
