Macrobiotus cf. tenuis Binda & Pilato 1972
The seven specimens were found in LF sample and animal morphologies corresponded to Ramazzotti and Maucci (1983) descriptions. Smooth cuticle had no pores. I observed a buccal armature comprised of a transverse crest system. Two rod-shaped macroplacoids and a microplacoid were present within the pharyngeal bulb. Angle between main branch and secondary branch of double-claws is a right angle. Large lunules in all double-claws, smooth in at the first three pairs of legs and dentated in the fourth pair. Mean body size was 888 μm (SD 289), range 550 to 1210 μm. The species has been cited for Europe and America, but it is the first time it is recorded for the Iberian Peninsula (Table 2). Here, Macrobiotus cf. tenuis was found only at one sampling point (Table 3).
