Paranathrix acanthococci (Myartseva, 1977)

Material examined. Hormozgan province, Minab, 27°17'N 54°19'E, 6 ♀, 2 ♂, 3.x.2007, ex Ferrisia virgata (Ceckerell) ( Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) on Althea sp. ( Malvaceae).

General distribution. Turkmenistan.

Comments. Examination of the specimens preserved in NHM collection indicates that the collected materials from Hormozgan (southern Iran) are P. acanthococci; so the specimens of Paranathrix tachikawai recorded by Fallahzadeh & Japoshvili (2010) should be checked and confirmed.
