Allopauropus (D.) mameti (Remy, 1959), n. comb

Scleropauropus (Scleropauropoides) mameti Remy 1959 . The Mauritius Institute Bulletin, 5(5), 184–185, fig. 13.

Owing to coarse tergites with lanceolate setae Remy placed this species in Scleropauropus though he apparently realized that it deviated from other species in the genus in having the setae combination b 1+ b 2 on the pygidial sternum, and no b 3. This is a character typical of the subgenus Decapauropus in Allopauropus . The club-shaped bothriotricha T 3 is also pointing to that taxon.

Distribution. Sri Lanka, Mauritius.
