Diagnosis. Dima schimmeli is a medium-sized species (body length: 10.3–13.0 mm) with pronotal punctures of variable size, sparser on disc and denser near margins, with long, straight, dense, semi-erect pubescence on pronotum and elytra (Figs 102–104, 156), and long apical lobes of paramera (Figs 214–215). It is the only longhaired species in the region (Fig. 244). Dima schimmeli resembles the species from the north Peloponnese ( D. assingi, D. neumanni, D. schnitteri) by the body shape and long straight pubescence, but it differs in the semi-erect (about 45°) pubescence on pronotum (erect in the Peloponnesian species; Figs 120, 146, 156–157).
