Record from Thailand. Gulf of Thailand (Hansen 1910) and South-eastern Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island (Fukuoka & Murano 2002).
Habitat and depth range. Marine, depth: 19–60 m (Fukuoka & Murano 2002) .
Distribution. The Gulf of Thailand (Hansen 1910), the Gulf of Manaar (W.M. Tattersall 1922), Singapore (O.S. Tattersall 1960), Arabian Sea (Pillai 1964, 1973), Taiwan (Ii 1964), Strait of Malacca (O.S. Tattersall 1965), South China Sea (Liu & Wang 1986), Yellow Sea (Shen et al. 1989), East China Sea (Wang & Liu 1997), Andaman Sea (Fukuoka & Murano 2002), Malaysia (Zalina & Othman 1994; Gan et al. 2010; Ramarn et al. 2012a; Tan & Azman 2018), Korea (Kim et al. 2012) and India (Biju et al. 2016).
Remarks. According to Wittmann (2015), many species names of Erythropinae are not spelled in correct latin. In those cases where the genus name ends with "-ops" and the species name is an adjective, the name has to be transferred from female to male gender.
