Pseudomysidetes nudus Fukuoka & Murano, 2002

Type locality. Andaman Sea, Thailand (Fukuoka & Murano 2002).

Record from Thailand. South-eastern Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island (Fukuoka & Murano 2002).

Habitat and depth range. Marine, depth: 46–61 m (Fukuoka & Murano 2002) .

Distribution. So far, this species is only known from the south-eastern Andaman Sea, next to Phuket Island (Fukuoka & Murano 2002).

Remarks. To date, a total of 4 valid species of the genus Pseudomysidetes have been recorded. Among them, P. nudus shares similar morphology with P. japonicus, however, these two species can be distinguished by the following characters; in P. nudus, (1) the carpopropodus of the endopod of the third thoracic limb is divided into four articles and (2) the uropodal endopod’s inner margin bears no spines; while in P. japonicus, (1) the third thoracic limb is composed of five articles, and (2) uropodal endopod is armed with spines on the middle of its inner margin (Fukuoka & Murano 2002).
