Mesopodopsis tenuipes Hanamura, Koizumi, Sawamoto, Siow & Chee, 2008
Type locality. Merbok mangrove estuary, Kedah, Malaysia (Hanamura et al. 2008) .
Record from Thailand. This species can be found in the Samut Songkhram estuary, Gulf of Thailand (Hanamura et al. 2008) and Songkhla Lagoon System (Lheknim & Yolanda 2020).
Habitat and depth range. This species is very abundant on the surface layer of the estuarine and lagoonal system (Lheknim & Yolanda 2020; Yolanda 2021).
Distribution. This species is known from Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, (Hanamura et al. 2008), Thailand (Hanamura et al. 2008; Lheknim & Yolanda 2020; Yolanda 2021) and Indonesia (Mantiri et al. 2012).
Remarks. This species is very similar to its ally, M. orientalis, however, this species has a narrower cornea, a long antennal peduncle, and fourth male pleopods reaching or overreaching uropodal statocyst region (Hanamura et al. 2008).
