Bequaert (1932b) stated that authors such as D ö nitz (1909) and Robinson (1926) used the name Amblyomma latum (Koch, 1844a) for Hyalomma latum Koch, 1844a, but, in fact, these authors were describing Amblyomma sylvaticum .
