Anastos (1950) stated that the record of Amblyomma robinsoni from a probable Vietnamese location (Toumanoff 1944) is erroneous, and the same can be said about the supposed presence of this tick in Vietnam (Phan Trong 1977). Consequently, Vietnam is not included within the geographic distribution of Amblyomma robinsoni .
