Oriental: 1) China (south), 2) Laos, 3) Indonesia (west of Wallace’s Line), 4) Thailand (Wilson 1970 a, Tanskul et al. 1983, Chen et al. 2010, Vongphayloth et al. 2016, Petney et al. 2019).

A Palearctic record of Ixodes spinicoxalis from the beginning of the 20 th century was regarded as a misidentification by Anastos (1950).
