Neotropical: 1) Costa Rica, 2) Panama (Fairchild et al. 1966, Guglielmone et al. 2021).

Cruz-Aldán et al. (2006) listed Dermacentor latus from southern Mexico, but Guzmán-Cornejo et al. (2016) stated that the presence of this tick there needs confirmation, and Mexico (south) is excluded from the range of this tick.
