Simulium (Simulium) fuscopilosum: Takaoka & Davies, 1995: 148 –150 (Female).
This species was described from females collected from Cameron Highlands by Edwards (1928). The female of this species was redescribed by Takaoka and Davies (1995). The male, pupa and larva remain unknown. The female of this species is characterized by the scutum without longitudinal vittae, triangular ovipositor valve with a dozen of short hairs, and tarsal claw with a short subbasal tooth.
