Simulium (Gomphostilbia) terengganuense Takaoka et al., 2012c: 803 –810 (Female, male, pupa and larva).
This species was described from females, males, pupae and larvae (Takaoka et al., 2012c). It is characterized in the female by the narrow frons with its narrowest width medially, in the male by the ventral plate with its posterior margin convex when viewed ventrally, in the pupa by terminal hooks of mushroom-shape when viewed laterally, and in the larva by the remarkable color pattern on the thorax and abdomen (Takaoka et al., 2012c).
The pupae and larvae of this species were collected from lowlands of the northern province of Terengganu, and Cameron Highlands, and also from Bakalalan, Sarawak (Ya’cob et al., 2015).
