Torodora perrierella (Viette, 1985), comb. nov.

Type. 1♀ (holotype), North Madagascar, Tsaratanana massif, trail from Mangindrano to Maromokotra, north of the 2362 m high peak, alt. 2,310 m, 9–12 xi 1966; Tsaratanana expedition (xi 1966), camp no. 2, P. Griveaud, P. Soga, P. Viette and D. Wintrebert leg.; Lecithocera perrierella n. sp., Holotype, P. Viette; genitalia: prep. P. Viette no. 5693.

Adults (Figs. 11A, B). Wingspan, 26–27 mm. The species is one of the largest species of the genus, and the forewing with greyish-orange ground colour. Abdominal segments have more or less triangular spinose zones on segments II–VII; segments I and VIII rarely spinose (Fig. 11E).

Female genitalia (Figs. 11C, D): See also the line drawing given by Viette (1985, Fig. 17). Abdominal sternite VIII incised in V-shape medially. Apophyses anteriores longer than 1/2 length of apophyses posteriores. Ductus bursae membraneous, narrowed in anterior 1/3; ductus seminalis arising from posterior end of narrowed part. Corpus bursae large, elongated; signum broad, about 3/4 width of corpus bursae, with various sizes of strong spines.

Distribution. Madagascar (North) (Viette, 1985).
