Celonites hystrix Kostylev, 1940: 138, ♀ ♂ (type locality: “ Kondara, Chaîne Ghissar, 30 km vers le N de Stalinabad (autrefois Duchambé), 1 100 m au-d. du niv. de la mer” [Tajikistan]).

Current status. Valid (Carpenter 2001).

Remarks. Kostylev (1940) reported a female and a male collected in the Kondara Canyon by V. Gussakovskij as the “ type ” but there are actually three females and a male with Kostylev’s identification labels. All of them can be considered belonging to the type series according to Art. 72.4.1.1 of ICZN (1999).
