The record confirms previous data.

ANDREWES (1928, 1929, 1930) treats this form as variation, and LORENZ (2005, 2019) as synonym to procatus (FABRICIUS, 1798). However, the differences between the nominate subspecies and the subspecies minor TSCHITSCHERIN are eye catching and conspicuously distinct. This is especially true for the punctuation on the venter. Therefore, I state this form as valid subspecies.
