Neohydatothrips John

The members of this genus are mostly strikingly bicoloured and with complex body structure. The genus Neohydatothrips can be distinguished from other genera of Sericothripinae by the available keys (Mound & Tree 2009; Lima & Mound 2016a & b). The genus Neohydatothrips is characterized by the anterior margin of the metasternal plate being transverse or with a shallow emargination medially (Lima & Mound 2016a & b).
