Emended description. Head process long, enlarged, compressed, with median carina ventrally (Figs 1, 2, 7A). Laterofrontal sutures not extended beyong antennal base. Lora elongate oval, reaching genal margins ventrally. Ocelli present. Pronotum with median carina. Forewing with reticulate venation, clavus long, 2/3 as long as forewing, and appendix reduced. Hind wings well developped, nearly as long as forewings, with well developed submarginal vein (Fig. 2A, D). Hind femur distal macrosetae 2 + 0. Hind tibia laterally flattened. Female sternite VII with median deep notch on hind margin (Fig. 9A). Ovipositor slightly protruding beyond hind margins of pygofer in lateral view (Fig. 2D).

Fifth instar larva, male (Figs 3, 7B). Head and body with dense small pimples bearing short setae. Head process directed horizontally, flattened ventro-laterally, with median carinae dorsally and ventrally. Light yellow brownish, with brown lateral parts of head process.

Total length. 3.8–4.0 mm.
