Redescription, female. Body length 6.31 mm. Head with dark green reflection; mesosoma with dark green reflection and metapectal-propodeal disc black; wings subhyaline; metasoma castaneous. Head wide. Mandible with five distal teeth, wide, angled, and step-shaped. Median clypeal lobe angulate, short; median clypeal carina hardly distinct from clypeus. With frontal process; antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye small. Frontal angle of ocellae forming right angle; ocelli very small. Vertex concave. Pronotal disc as long as wide, polished; transverse pronotal carina present, incomplete; posterior margin without posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus very narrow. Mesoscutellar disc with mesoscutellar sulcus narrow. Metapectal-propodeal disc short; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges absent; metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; paraspiracular carina absent; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc polished; propodeal declivity polished. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea closed; lower fovea opened; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture opened. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia spinose; claws bifid. Metasomal segments glabrous. Genitalia. T9 with anterior arm long and overlapping 2vf; 1vv slightly longer than genitalia body; 2vv as long as 1vv length, abruptly narrowing apicad; 3vv long; 1vf strongly curved forward; 2vf slender and with dorsal lap strongly swollen posteriorly; 1rv slightly curved forward, ventral process small, and posterior process long; 2rv slightly curved forward.

Diagnosis, male (extracted from Evans, 1964). Body length 4–6 mm. Head with golden-green reflection; mesosoma with golden-green reflection; wings sub-hyaline; metasoma dark castaneous with apex castaneous. Head wide. Flagellomeres long. Mandible slender, slightly angled, and with lower tooth longer than others. Median clypeal lobe angulate, short. Frons coriaceous . Antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye large. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle obtuse; ocelli large. Vertex straight. Sparsely punctate; transverse pronotal carina complete; with posterior pronotal sulcus. Metapectal-propodeal disc short. Mesotibia spinose. Claws bifid. Genitalia. Basiparamere as long as paramere; paramere wide, angled, and with ventral margin concave and dorsal margin convex, sparsely setose; basivolsella straight; cuspis with arms long, dorsal arm slender; aedeagus basal portion convex and slender, apical portion shorter than basal portion and wide; apodeme wide.

Material examined. Lectotype ( E. aurichalceus Westwood, 1874), here designated. Female. CUBA (OXUM). Male. CUBA, Sancti Spíritus, Jatibonico, 21°56'47"N 79°10'03"W, 16.vii. [19]29, taken on leaves of Terminalia sp., L.C. Scaramuzza [collector] (UFES 09367).
